Like many other formal sets it features a fine white porcelain body and an elegant band of embossed gold on the rim of each piece, but thanks to technological advances the hand applied gold trim is perfectly safe to place in the microwave oven! So not only can you put your fancy dinnerware in the dishwasher but now also use it to heat food in the microwave – the result is dinnerware that not only looks the part but is extremely versatile.
